Æspa - A Full-Service Medical Spa

Dr. Lisa Jerrells has specialized in family medicine for seven years. Since 2005 she has had a dream to pursue the art of appearance transformation. From that dream Æspa was born.

In October, 2007, partnering with IMA, Dr. Jerrells opened Æspa Bloomington, a full-service medical spa where she provides quality patient care, assisting patients in their goals of achieving the appearance they desire.

Dr. Jerrells graduated with highest distinction with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University in 1992. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1997 and completed internship and residency in Family Medicine at Palmettto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina in 2000. She was chief resident of the Family Medicine program during her third year in South Carolina and had additional training with dermatologists and plastic surgeons while there.
Completed training for Botox injections with Gregory Chernoff, M.D., F.R.C.S.(C), of Chernoff and Associates Cosmetic Surgeons, 2007.

Completed training in cosmetic laser procedures for primary care.

Dr. Lisa Jerrells was accepted into The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery in 2008. The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery was established in 1980 and currently has approximately 4000 members. The Society’s mission focuses on promoting excellence in the advancement of laser applications. The ASLMS values integrity, leadership, education, and professionalism. Physicians and Surgeons must apply and be accepted as a member.

Kathy Pafford, L.E. received her Aesthetics License from Honors in Indianapolis and graduated at the top of her class. An accomplished aesthetician, her experience has been acquired in a facial plastic surgery setting over the past twelve years. She performs aesthetic laser procedures including hair removal, photo facials, facial vein removal and rejuvenation. She gives close personal attention to each patient’s skin care concerns and needs. Ms. Pafford also completed her clinical training with Cutera in 2007. Dr. Jerrells and Ms. Pafford are very excited to be offering the latest and most advanced aesthetic system on the market.
